RPF Constable Exam Date 2025
The exam date for RPF Constable posts and detail exam schedule will be released soon on official website rrbapply.gov.in. It is expected that the RPF Constable Exam will be held in February 2025. RPF Constable Exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) Mode. Through CBT Exam candidates will be shortlisted for PET, which is the second stage for selection process.
RPF Constable Selection Process
The selection Process for RPF Constable Posts includes the followings stages.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): This is the first stage of selection process where candidates are test for their subjective, Aptitude and General knowledge.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Candidates who qualify CBT Exam will undergo PET/PMT Test to check Fitness.
- Document Verification.
- Medical Examination.
RPF Constable Exam Pattern 2025
RPF Constable Computer-Based Test (CBT) consists of Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and is divided in three segment. The Duration of CBT Exam is 90 minutes.

RPF Constable Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT) Details
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in CBT shall be called for RPF Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Document Verification (DV) to the extent of 10 times the number of vacancies in each category for Male/Female/Ex-Servicemen as per merit. Ex-servicemen shall be exempted from PET, however, they will have to undergo PMT.
There shall be a maximum of two rounds of PET/PMT. If vacancies of Female and Ex-servicemen are not filled up after second round of PET/PMT, vacant posts will be filled up by Male candidates of respective category. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. No marks are to be awarded.

- For 1600/800 meters event only one chance will be given. For the remaining events viz., Long Jump and High
- jump, the candidates will be given up to 2 chances each.
- Ex-servicemen shall be exempted from PET, however, they will have to undergo PMT.
- A Candidate must qualify in all tests as per above norms to be eligible for consideration.
- Male candidates who do not have minimum height shall not be considered for measurement of chest and shall be treated as disqualified.
- All the candidates qualifying in 1600 meters/800 meters will be measured for eligibility with respect to height and chest. Chest measurement will be taken only for male candidates. If a male candidate’s unexpanded chest measurement is below eligibility limit, expanded measurement shall not be taken and he shall be treated as disqualified.

- Candidate who does not have minimum height, chest (unexpanded/expanded) shall be treated as having failed in PMT.
- PET/PMT is qualifying in nature. No marks are to be awarded.
- A grievance redressal cell will be set up for redressal of grievances related to Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
- Candidate must represent within three days of the date of the test to the PCSC in whose jurisdiction PET, PMT, Document Verification and Medical Examination is held.
